Commerce provides a foundation for many professional careers including finance, planning, accounting, taxation, banking, and brokerage,
among others, in addition to academics, research, and many others. People who are interested in accounting, finance, commodities,
marketing, and trading, among other things, usually pursue a career in commerce.
Commerce can be studied as a subject after 10 years of schooling. After ten years of schooling,
commerce is available as a 10+2 or Higher Secondary option. This opens the door to further studies in
commerce-related subjects.
Undergraduate and postgraduate Commerce education is available at university departments and colleges
across the country. Postgraduate and research specializations are available.
