Mathematics, as an expression of the human mind, reflects the active will, contemplative reason and
desire for aesthetic perfection. Its fundamental elements are logic and intuition, analysis and
construction, generality and individuality, all of which are essential for a Mathematics teacher
in general. Thus, Mathematics is responsible for providing us with a system, organisation, and
necessary skills for living a successful life. Each of us will be severely hampered in our lives
if we do not learn Mathematics.
The English Language laboratory aims to enhance proficiency in Spoken English through its emphasis
on activity-based learning. The Lab organizes a host of contests right through the year to promote
confidence-building and personality development. The Language Lab trains students in Spoken English
through a well-defined curriculum and focus on the skills of listening, reading, speaking and writing.
Mathematics knowledge that cannot be translated into practice is a waste of time, and students of
mathematics should be provided with adequate opportunities for the integration of theory and practice.
Mathematics laboratories can play an important role in this direction, so establishing one in a school
or B. Ed college should not be considered unusual.
